Empty Premises#6 Craigmillar, Edinburgh, Scotland. By E-saint

'The famous 'White House' Pub in the tough Craigmillar area of Eastern Edinburgh that runs beside Niddrie.
The White House pub was built in 1936 and remains standing as it is a listed building in Edinburgh, although in an obvious state of disrepair. It was where a famous air battle took place during the Second World War. A German plane was shot down and the pilot forced to eject into the neighbourhood, where he was chased and caught by the locals - you can imagine his fate.
As you can see, there has been slightly less money spent on the exterior decoration, but like its American name-sake - a huge amount has been spent on internal security and surveillance.' E-saint
